Everyone tells me I'm crazy, but I still think it's a real possiblity. Parking garages and roads were built for our cars; what's so farfetched about separate trails and a kennel for your team?
I believe that animal powered commuting is a viable alternative. The dogs are more than willing; it's really just a matter of developing the infrastructure. Highway planners and community developers are already incorporating separate bike paths into their projects. Add a day kennel to house dogs during the workday and we're almost in business.
Sure there will be some hurdles, and I expect some conflicts. But I don't believe the idea of having my dogs pull me to work is insane or even unreasonable.
To demonstrate what is possible, it is my hope that one day my family and I will travel the entire length of the American Discovery Trail from coast to coast BY DOG.
Love your pupas!
