Awesome Dogsitter!

My friend, Toby, graciously agreed to take care of the pack over the Christmas weekend while we visited my family in Richland, WA. She took amazing care of the dogs and I felt at ease the whole time knowing she was watching out for them. Not to mention she took tons of amazing photos of the dogs and constantly kept us updated on their well being. Check out the wonderful photos:

Tank and Okie, standing proud!

This handsome bugger has my heart!

This guy (Buzz) is a goof (and all tongue).

Buck again. Look deep into those eyes!

Lanky, but beautiful Tank. Very affectionate too!

Timid Flier, only really likes loves from his musher mom and dad.

Isis, always ready for attention!

...and to play with Tensaw.

Here's that good again!

The yard. Very pretty in the snow.

Lovely backlight.

The morning of the day we came home. They knew we were on our way. Just waiting.

This picture is absolutely stunning! Well taken, Toby!

Now that we're home best get some more miles under our feet:

On the sled!

Finally got out on the runners with the team!

Saturday I ran an 8 dog team 10 miles ( Okie ran with Sonya's team) and Sunday I ran with the boys 5 miles. Lots of snow at the pass. My leaders in training, Jig and Whip, did well but definitely have room for improvement. Team put in an impressive run Saturday, it was slow, punchy snow.

Dry land all season?

Due to scheduling conflicts we still have yet to get out on the snow. Hopefully soon. But until then, we're still running with the ATV.

Week night training (I have a single leader up front but she's mostly black and hard to see in the photos).

Jig and Whip leading Saturday. Good job girls!

Water break.

The leaders laying down while they drink.

Lip lickin' Flier

We were being watched.

Sunny Saturday

This weekend is great weather for getting out on the sleds but unfortunately we have a bunch of birthday parties for the young mushers to attend. Hopefully next weekend. Until then, we continue to dry land. Rohn joined me today and it was fun!
Buck got a shot at lead with his mom, Okie. This might have been her last run. She's 10.5 and struggling on the runs. She is headed for retirement. It's a tough decision, as she's not entirely ready to stop running but she can't handle much. I will think on this. She may just be going jogging with me from now on.

When we got back handler Keegan helped water the dogs.
Good dogs! MUCH better run than the mess Wednesday evening.

Love your puppas!
